By emphasising the weathered stone of the castle walls against the dramatic sky and commanding figure of Robert the Bruce, I wanted to evoke a sense of resilience, leadership, and national pride. The composition places the statue prominently within the frame, allowing the monument and fortress to stand together as symbols of Scotland’s enduring identity.
