The story behind the photograph
Moored beside Glasgow’s Riverside Museum, the three-masted Glenlee is a reminder of the city’s connection to trade, shipbuilding and seafaring. The historic ship and the modern waterfront bring past and present together along the Clyde.
This photograph captures the vessel in warm, atmospheric light, with its rigging and hull reflected softly in the calm water. Each image is carefully refined to preserve the natural atmosphere and maritime character of the scene.
