In processing this image, I leaned into a warm, painterly aesthetic with golden tones and softened contrast to enhance the timeless atmosphere of the scene. By emphasising the classical form of the monument against the intricate cityscape beyond, I wanted to evoke a sense of perspective and reflection. The composition balances Edinburgh’s architectural grandeur with the quiet presence of one of its most recognisable landmarks, creating an image that feels both intimate and expansive.
